A HOUSING scheme that was branded as over-intensive by a city council, has been approved.

Ripon City Council expressed concerns about the plan to create a pair of semi-detached bungalows on a site at Sunny Bank Place Flats, Borrage Lane, Ripon, along with a scheme to replace three apartments with nine apartments.

However, members of an area planning committee of Harrogate Borough Council approved both schemes by six votes to four with one abstention.
