BANK Holiday weekend in Darlington will have a Continental influence, with an opera singer and French market coming to the town centre.
The market - now in its fifth year in Darlington - will be on Skinnergate over the weekend, and promises a selection of authentic French produce, including baguettes, cheese and wine.
Opera singers, accompanied by an accordion, will entertain shoppers from about 1pm on Saturday with songs from Offenbach's Tales of Hoffmann and Barcarolle.
All will be in traditional 19th Century Parisian costume.
