A LOCAL authority's website has been expanded ahead of the tourist season.
The Darlington Borough Council site, which was launched in 2002, has been redesigned.
It offers more information on events, attractions, activities and shopping destinations. Visitors can use the site to find accommodation and there are electronic postcards of the area to send to friends and family.
David Lyonette, the council's cabinet member for regeneration, said: "The Darlington tourism website has proved important to both residents and prospective visitors to the town and the broader region.
"Darlington has plenty to offer and is increasingly gaining recognition as a rewarding visitor destination for a quality short break."
