Businessman Nasser Din has been given permission by Stockton Borough Council to transform an eyesore pub.
He secured planning permission to create a high-quality housing development at the listed Cross Keys pub, at the foot of Leven Bank, near Yarm.
Money from the sale of nine homes on the site will be used to restore the listed buildings.
