A MOTORIST tried to drag a 14-year-old girl into his car in an abduction bid.
The girl struggled free and escaped, near her home in Patterdale Gardens, High Heaton, Newcastle.
She was dropped off by a friend at 10.45pm on Sunday and walked past the man, who was in a dark car, possibly a Ford Mondeo, with the lights on and the engine running.
He asked if she wanted a lift. When she refused, he grabbed her wrists through the car window. She got free, ran home and called police.
The man is described as about 40, dark-skinned with messy dark hair. He had a foreign accent.
