A recycling centre has been set up in the Hambleton district to encourage local people to think green.
The centre, the 58th to be opened in the district, has been installed by the Forresters Arms Hotel, in Kilburn, near Thirsk.
Banks for paper and magazines; cans, tins, foil and aerosols; clear glass and jars; green glass and brown glass have been put in place.
Any other village representatives wishing to set up a recycling centre are asked to contact recycling officer Jenny Lowes on (01609) 767305.
