A PURPOSE-BUILT gipsy site that was closed after vandalism will reopen.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council will reopen the base at The Haven, South Bank, Middlesbrough, today.
Following talks with members of the travelling community, all the facilities have been rebuilt, new community links have been established and the 13 pitches are full, with a waiting list.
The site was closed after each of the units alongside the pitches were vandalised, with the bathrooms, kitchen areas and toilets all wrecked.
