POLICE and relatives of a 55-year-old woman who has gone missing from her North-East home are appealing for information about her.
Gladys Butler, of Stockton, has been missing for several days, and police and her family are becoming increasingly concerned about her.
She was last seen as she left her home in Melsonby Grove at 10am on Thursday, saying she was going into town.
Mrs Butler, who is married and has a son, is believed to have visited a neighbour to ask if she wanted any shopping before she continued on her journey.
Police said Mrs Butler had never been missing before and that her disappearance was out of character.
She was believed to have a small amount of money with her, but no change of clothes or toiletries.
She is 5ft 2in, slim, with a fair complexion, green eyes and short brown hair.
She was wearing a blue and black anorak, a maroon v-neck jumper, blue jeans and black shoes
Anybody with information is asked to call DS Dave Clough of Stockton CID on (01642) 326326.
