ROLL up, roll up, the circus has come to town.
The Bobby Roberts Super Circus has set up its big top tent in Darlington for the next few days.
The company has brought a team of acrobats, clowns and animals, including elephants and horses.
The circus is based on Creebeck Farm, just off the A66, and opens tonight.
A circus spokesman said: "The Roberts have been travelling the country with the family circus since the 1940s.
"This current tour has been going very well and has attracted both young and old.
"We have been taking many bookings for our shows in Darlington, so we are hoping our visit will go well.
"Our show is quite different from many others, as we still travel with animals. We are inspected every year and have certificates to show the animals are well cared for."
The circus will be in town until Sunday evening, and will be in Skippers Lane, Middlesbrough from Tuesday until Sunday, May 15.
Weekday shows start at 5pm and 7.30pm and weekend shows will be at 2.30pm and 5pm.
Tickets are £8 to £15 for children and £10 to £20 for adults.
All tickets for tonight's show are £4.
