A RECORD number of people attended a North Yorkshire show over the Bank Holiday weekend.
About 21,000 people visited the three-day Dales Festival of Food and Drink at Leyburn.
The crowd was almost 1,000 more than last year's.
Gerald Hodgson, a member of the organising committee, said the event had been a success, despite heavy rains causing a problem with mud on the show field.
"We struggled with the weather on the Saturday," he said.
"The site cut up badly, but we had two or three tractors on hand at all times and we managed.
"Despite the weather, it was an extremely successful event."
