THREE men are facing trial after a fight involving a group of 15 people in a Knaresborough public house.
Leon Michael Moynihan, 21, of York, and Darren James McElvaney, 22, of Rosedene Farm House, Old Lackenby, Eston, Teesside, both appeared before magistrates in Harrogate yesterday.
They pleaded not guilty to an affray in the Crown Hotel, Knaresborough, on February 12, in which pool cues and glasses were smashed and tables were overturned.
Mr Moynihan is also accused of indecent assault on a woman during the same incident and failing to answer bail on March 6.
Court chairman Catherine Nickols ordered both to be tried at York Crown Court and bailed them until June 15 for papers to be prepared.
The court heard that a third man, Patrick Pearce Harris, 24, also of York, had broken his back and was unable to attend court. His case was adjourned until May 11.
