Darlington go into tomorrow's final round of League Two fixtures with their promotion play-off hopes hanging by a thread.
Their 0-0 draw at Lincoln City last Saturday was not enough to prevent Northampton Town sneaking into seventh spot on goal difference with a 2-0 win at Chester City. It means Quakers must beat visitors Cheltenham Town by three more goals than the Cobblers manage if they defeat relegated Kidderminster Harriers.
David Hodgson's men could also finish above Macclesfield Town, but only if the Silkmen suffer an unlikely home defeat to third bottom Rushden.
Alun Armstrong and Craig Hignett could return to aid Darlington's all or nothing assault on the Cheltenham defence.
