A 21-YEAR-OLD man has died after he was involved in an accident with a minibus.
Karl Rowe, of Tees Close, Peterlee, County Durham, was involved in the accident on the A181, about 500 metres east of the B1279 junction, in Thornley, east Durham. He was taken to hospital, where he was certified dead.
Police believe Mr Rowe had just got out of a Nissan Micra car when the accident took place, at 11.50pm on Thursday.
The 57-year-old male driver of the minibus, from Peterlee, was treated for shock.
A 31-year-old female front-seat passenger in the minibus suffered a broken nose and facial cuts. Anyone who saw the accident is asked to call 0191-375 2159.
