Wearside League: Darlington RA will clinch the championship and promotion into the Albany Northern League Second Division if they win at Washington Nissan UK this afternoon.
Manager Dave Woodcock though has a selection headache since a trio of players, Nigel Bolton, Mark Keenan and David Alderson will not play again this season.
In addition, Michael Carter and Paul Freary are not available today and Lee Johnson is struggling with an injury.
"It's unfortunate we have to go into the game minus at least five players but we have a strong squad and I am confident we can succeed and at last celebrate after a long season," said manager Dave Woodcock.
Washington Nissan UK are second from bottom and their only absentee is the suspended Paul McAdam. Realistically, Coxhoe Athletic are playing for the runners-up position after challenging Darlington RA all season.
Despite winning for the 23rd time in midweek, they are only four points ahead of Stokesley SC who have a game in hand. Coxhoe are at home to Gateshead Reserves while Stokesley go to Harton and Westoe who are stronger with the inclusion of Jonathan Mullen and Shaun Frazer.
Birtley Town also have a chance of finishing second and visiting New Marske, are at full strength except for Paul Bryson.
New Marske miss Ben Walker, James Kesterton and Ian Johnson and youngsters Liam Wood and Shaun Taylor will be in the squad.
Ferryhill Athletic line up at home to Whitehaven stronger with the inclusion of John Banks, Paul Robson, Richard Lee and Tony Fleming while Wolviston, who host Annfield Plain, are without Shaun Braithwaite who scored his side's only goal in the midweek defeat to Stokesley SC.
He was injured late in the game but there is some good news for Wolviston since Matthew Ruse, Liam McPhillips and Craig Luke all resume, however, strikers Andy Steele and Carl Wilson are suspended.
