HEALTH staff working for one of North Yorkshire's primary care trusts (PCT) feel increasingly positive about working for the organisation, according to a new survey.
The Craven and Harrogate PCT employs more than 850 people, based at locations including Harrogate, Ripon, Knaresborough and Settle.
They include district, school and community nurses, health visitors, mental health and learning disability staff, physiotherapists, administrative staff and others.
The survey was carried out by the Healthcare Commission, which annually questions NHS staff, in a range of organisations, to see how they feel about their jobs.
In this year's survey, the PCT was in the best 20 per cent of comparable organisations nationally against a range of indicators, including team-working, job satisfaction, flexible working and positive attitude to work.
The PCT also scored highly in terms of ensuring staff are protected from harassment.
The trust's associate director of human resources, Stephen Dean, said: "It is good to identify real improvements in the responses in many areas, compared to the last survey, but we know this is just the start, and there are many more opportunities to improve.
"An organisation can only be truly successful with a happy and well-motivated workforce."
