Albany Northern League: Dunston's quest to go unbeaten through a league season was ended when they lost their final Northern League game 2-0 at Bedlington on Saturday.
It was sweet revenge for Bedlington who lost to champions Dunston on penalties in the League Cup final in midweek.
Bedlington took the lead on 29 minutes when Robbie Cockburn set up Kevin Walton to score then Keith Douglas scored from a quickly taken free kick.
Shildon thumped relegated Peterlee 6-3 at Dean Street. Lee Ellison and Garry Barnes both took advantage of some poor defending to put Shildon 2-0 up, and after Ellison scored from the edge of the area on 31 minutes, Paul Hinton pulled one back for Peterlee from the spot.
Chris Emms dribbled through to pull another back but then Ellison and Scott Emmerson put Shildon in control.
Emms scored the goal of the game from 40 yards but Danny Richmond lobbed the keeper from the edge of the box for the sixth.
* Long serving Shildon player Charlie Walton has a testimonial against Ashington on Wednesday at Dean Street, 7.30pm.
