Then along with Richard Potter, Forster added 77 before the declaration was applied from just 49.3 overs. Rain thwarted a prompt return before Boldon eventually picked up two quick wickets.

However, only ten overs were possible before an abandonment. There was a half century from Jim Daley as Eppleton made their way to 184 before declaring at Marsden.

However, the main acceleration to the innings came from Graeme Anderson. His quickfire unbeaten 48 (five boundaries and three sixes) instigated Lee Welch's declaration from their 44.5 overs.

Heavy rain meant Marsden were unable to start their innings.

David Leslie (55) and Martin Gill (34) helped Seaham Harbour's score along to 115-5 before a deluge drove the players from the field against Durham City.

After 29.3 overs the game was eventually called off with City skipper Brian Stone having collected 3-9.

Whitburn made their way to 158 before the rains arrived at South Hetton.

After losing last week's century-maker Neil Ayre early, Ashley Thorpe (80) and John Dunn (45 not out) placed Whitburn in a strong position.

Felling succumbed to Horden's Keith Cheetham (5-31) and Nadeem Khan (3-45) and were all out for 128 with Mark Douglas (40) top-scoring.

However, Horden's efforts were all in vain.
