students who have given up their free time to stamp out bullying have been recognised for their efforts.
Debra Lanceley, Danielle Martin, Sarah Morton, Rebecca Moseley, Claire Robson, Gemma Strong and Andrew Embleton, from Wolsingham School and Community College, have been presented with the Diana, Princess of Wales Anti-Bullying Award for their contribution to tackling bullying in the school.
The Year 11 'Amigos' were chosen for the award because of their inspirational qualities, which included securing an AQA Certificate in peer mentoring/counselling.
Their achievement comes just after the school was given accreditation for its anti-bullying work and was presented with the Durham County Council Award.
Anne Walton, assistant headteacher, said: "We are very proud of the seven students."
