A SUPERMARKET will reopen next week after a £600,000 refit - including self-service checkouts.
The Somerfield store in High Street North, Langley Moor, Durham City has undergone a makeover as part of a £155m nationwide programme by the company.
Four extra jobs have been created at the store, which will be unveiled at a ceremony at 9am next Wednesday.
The revamped store has also extended its bakery range and introduced a hot-food range. It has also introduced self-service checkouts, which allow customers to scan and pay for shopping.
Store manager Richard Bevans said: "We are really pleased with our new-look store and I am confident that our customers will be delighted with the improvements."
