AN Army regiment will next week exercise its freedom of the city of Ripon.
Members of 38 Engineer Regiment, based at Claro Barracks, will take part in the celebrations from May 19 to 22.
The Corps silver, some of it dating back as far as the Zulu war and beyond, will be on display in the town hall and there will be a concert in Holy Trinity Church at 7.30pm on the Thursday in aid of the Army Benevolent Fund.
On Saturday, there will be an interactive military display in the Market Square from 9.45am until noon and an open-air band concert.
A full regimental parade on the Sunday, starting at 10.30am, will end with a service in the cathedral.
