A POP concert featuring Will Young, Gabrielle, Beverley Knight and Paul Carrack will take place in the North-East this summer.
Summer Pops 05 will be held on the seafront at Cliffe Park, in Seaburn, Sunderland, on July 2.
Organiser Chas Cole, of CMP Entertainment, said: "We are thrilled to be bringing the Summer Pops 05 to Sunderland and extending the brand to the North-East.
"This will be a fantastic event for the city."
Will Young won ITV's Pop Idol in 2002 and had the UK's biggest ever first-day debut single in the UK with Evergreen.
After winning a Brit Award for Best British Single this year, he is firmly established as one of the hottest UK song-writing and singing talents.
Gabrielle burst on to the scene with chart-topping single Dreams in 1993, followed by a series of hit singles, including Out of Reach, the theme tune for the first Bridget Jones movie. She signalled a massive return to form with last year's new album Play to Win.
Wolverhampton-born Beverley Knight enjoyed her biggest hit to date with Shoulda Coulda Woulda from 2002's hit album Who Am I, and has built a fantastic live reputation.
Paul Carrack is the voice behind worldwide hits such as Squeeze's Tempted and Mike and The Mechanics' classic The Living Years.
Tickets are £27.50, available by calling organisers on 0871-230 2629.
