The UniBond League play-offs finally begin today - a fortnight after the date they were due to commence.
Farsley were angered at being demoted from the champions spot to third place following an FA decision to give three points to all clubs that hadn't played Spennymoor, that they went to the High Court in an attempt to reverse the FA's decision.
However, the High Court kicked their appeal out, which means Hyde are champions, and Burscough, who thought they were in the play-offs, have now been replaced by Prescot Cables.
A league statement read: "The League are relieved that this extremely complex issue now appears to have been resolved.
"We hope that, in spite of the most unfortunate circumstances surrounding the play-offs, they will be played in a truly competitive spirit."
The final is due to be played next week.
Meanwhile, in the Wearside League, Wolviston have ended their barren spell with two victories and aim to extend their improved form at the expense of Cleator Moor Celtic this afternoon.
Secretary Keith Simpson was delighted after seeing his side fight back from a two-goal deficit to defeat Cleadon SC on Wednesday.
"It was a much better performance and with three games to play, we have the opportunity to pick up a few more points," said Simpson.
Striker David Dowd, defender Gareth Murphy and utility player Dan Shannon are unable to travel, but brothers Craig and Gavin Luke return.
Birtley Town host Windscale and are stronger with the inclusion of Kevin Murphy, Paul Scott and Chris Truman.
Boldon CA will be missing the injured David Hopper at Annfield Plain and Andrew Whalley is doubtful.
Keith Mason is working but Michael Meek and Paul Oley can play. Kevin Lloyd, however, will need a late fitness test.
Ryhope CW are unchanged for their penultimate fixture at Jarrow who cannot call upon Craig Hood.
Harton and Westoe visit New Marske and manager Ronnie Thompson makes enforced changes. Gary Brook, Jonathan Mullen and Shaun Frazer are missing, but Stephen Shields is fit again and Keith McRitchie is also available.
Shotton Comrades travel to Whitehaven unable to call upon Lee Buck whose injury will keep him out of the last two matches. Craig Hackworth is sidelined and Michael Pitham and Stephen Ferguson need checks on their fitness.
