A NEW manager has been appointed at a private nursing home near Darlington.
Following a 100 per cent take-up in its new studio apartment development, unveiled last summer, Middleton Hall, in Middleton St George, has increased the number of staff it employs to 85.
As part of a restructuring scheme, Chris Miranda has been appointed residential care manager.
Her responsibilities will include managing the team, housekeeping, delivering care and all services to the residents in the hall's Bluebell suite, as well as all aspects of social care.
Mrs Miranda said: "I have been very impressed by Middleton Hall and I look forward to using my experience to help my new team deliver even better care to residents and develop activities further."
She joins Middleton Hall after returning to Darlington following a year in Australia.
General manager Debby Lamont said: "We decided to restructure into smaller teams to provide consistency, team spirit, continuity and to reinforce our value of innovation and excellence in care."
