A MAN was yesterday warned he could be jailed after he admitted a serious charge of violence.
Gavin Kerr, 27, pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent during a hearing at Newcastle Crown Court.
The charge relates to an incident in January this year, which left victim Robert Welsh with an injury to his ear.
The judge adjourned the case for three weeks for sentencing.
Kerr, of Oswald Terrace, Sunderland, was granted bail in the meantime.
