MORE than 60 affordable homes need to be built in Richmondshire every year, a survey has found.
The Richmondshire Council housing needs study found the district needs at least 60 new low-cost houses every year for five years to meet demand from local people.
Responses from the study will help shape future council policies, said council leader Councillor John Blackie.
Councillors will discuss the housing needs survey report at a meeting at Swale House, Richmond, next Tuesday, at 6.30pm.
Members of the public are welcome to attend.
