THE work of Macmillan Cancer Relief is the focus of a public information day tomorrow.
It will take place at the Scotch Corner Hotel where Macmillan nurses will talk about their work and how it has developed.
Pam Thorne, Macmillan nurse team leader, said: "This is a wonderful opportunity to explain how Macmillan influences the lives of those with cancer and also to dispel some of the myths associated with the illness and its treatment.
"We have achieved so much in the last 15 years, but we also have many plans we would like to share."
Wilma Burniston, fundraising manager, said: "As fundraisers we are extremely proud of the Macmillan service that is provided in the Northallerton and Teesside areas. But it is thanks to the generosity of the public that this service exists, so it is only right that they have the opportunity to hear first hand what their donations have achieved."
More information about the event is available from Stephanie Wood on (01325) 370870.
