A MAN has been arrested in a dawn raid by police investigating football violence.
The 20-year-old, from Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire, was taken for questioning by police yesterday.
Eleven other people from West and South Yorkshire were arrested by officers investigating violence after the game between Leeds United and Cardiff City on January 15. During the disturbance, officers were pelted with missiles and confronted by fans armed with wood.
Detective Superintendent Phil Sedgwick, of West Yorkshire Police, said those who thought police had forgotten the incident should think again.
"Those involved in the violence know who they are. After four months have passed, they probably thought we had let it go," he said.
"I'm here to tell them that we know who most of them are."
