A SEMINAR is being held to encourage more of the region's companies to get involved in technology contracts.
Knowledge House, an organisation that promotes collaboration between the region's five universities and companies and entrepreneurs, is planning the seminar.
The organisation helps companies to turn the scientific and technological knowledge found in academic institutions into profitable products and services, to create more jobs and wealth in the region.
Mark Jackson, Knowledge House business development director, said: "It is important for companies to realise that cutting-edge work is being carried out in our universities and that they are there to help. Our two seminars will deliver a vital insight into how collaborative contracts work."
The Ahead for Business seminar is being held at Hall Garth Golf and Country Club, near Darlington, on Wednesday between 8am and 10am.
