DAREDEVIL Amanda Simpson has raised nearly £150 for the Royal National Institute of the Blind (RNIB), after taking the plunge on an aerial slide from 100ft above Sedgefield Racecourse, County Durham.
Amanda, who works at Specsavers Opticians, in Middlesbrough, completed her jump dressed as Tomb Raider, Lara Croft.
She said: "I loved every minute of it and would gladly do it again."
Colleagues sponsored her and their pledges helped her reach a total of £133.
Amanda next takes part in the Darlington Race for Life in August to raise money for Breast Cancer, after which she is planning a 400km bike ride through Peru in November, to raise money for the RNIB.
