TWO students were treated like celebrities for the day in recognition of their exemplary attendance.
West Redcar Community College students, Zoe McCartney and Karen Barnes, both 16, were picked up from home in a limousine and dropped off in style on their last day at the school.
Neither girl had missed a day throughout the five years they attended the college.
Assistant headteacher Gary Hanrahan believed they had more than earned the treat and praised the girls attitude towards school.
He said: "It was a really good day for the girls and they certainly deserved it. At the school we try to reward students in a variety of ways for different things and a ride in a limousine for not missing in school is worth rewarding."
