A SCALE model has been built showing the £6m plans for the redevelopment of a public hall in the centre of a market town.
The £4,600 model shows how Witham Hall, in Barnard Castle, County Durham, will look if the refurbishment takes place.
The development for the 151-year-old building will include a 176-seat theatre, a cafe, dance hall and technology suite, as well as offices and meeting rooms.
Jill Cole, one of the hall's trustees, said: "All we have to do now is find the big money. We are talking to major funding bodies and ensuring that the develop-ment of the Witham Hall is carried out with careful consultation."
The model was financed from the Community Champions Fund through the Teesdale Village Halls Consortium and the European Regional Development Fund, through Teesdale District Council.
Anyone wanting to view the model can contact Witham Hall between 9am and 3pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on (01833) 631107.
* Teesdale District Council's planning committee is to discuss amended plans for Witham Hall concerning its disabled access at a meeting on Wednesday. The committee has been recommended to refer the plans to the Government Office for the North-East without any objections.
