PATIENTS and carers in Easington can have their say on nursing services.
Easington Primary Care Trust's Community Nursing Services are celebrating National Nurses Day on Thursday by holding an event at Shotton Hall, in Peterlee.
The day is aimed at talking to patients to improve services. More than 100 users and carers are expected to attend.
They can see displays and talk to nurses from several specialist areas, including practice nursing, school nursing, health visiting, Macmillan nursing and intermediate care.
The feedback will be used in producing the trust's five-year nursing strategy.
Pauline Smith, the deputy head of nursing services, said: "This event is about listening to people, listening to the users and carers about what they think about our services and what they want that is different."
Among the displays will be information on the trust's five new community matrons, who are responsible for health in care homes, respiratory diseases, diabetes and general health.
