MUSIC students are to perform two live concerts at a North-East venue.
The Sage music centre, in Gateshead, will host Let There Be Rock, an evening of classic rock featuring first-year music and performing arts students from New College Durham, on June 13.
The following night, second-year students will stage an evening titled Later, inspired by the Jools Holland television programme.
The set will include rock, indie, dance, acoustic and country music.
Music course leader Mark Deeks said: "This live performance is very important to our students, as it is their end-of-year assessment.
"The Sage Gateshead is an excellent venue. Hall Two, where the students are performing, is the only ten-sided performance venue in the world and has amazing acoustics.
"The students are thrilled to be performing in this prestigious music building."
Guitar player Tim Rogerson, a first-year National Diploma student, said: "It is such an honour to play at The Sage Gateshead and I am very excited about it. We will be playing rock music from the 60s to the 80s."
Both performances start at 7pm. Tickets are £5, and £3 for concessions, available on 0191-443 4661.
