EXQUISITE traditional Japanese kimonos will be discussed at a museum talk this week.
Expert Helen Stewart will talk about the history of the colourful and delicate garments at Durham's Oriental Museum, in Elvet Hill.
The talk takes place at 2pm on Saturday, and has been organised to coincide with the museum's Exquisite Kimono exhibition.
Curator Craig Barclay said: "We are delighted that Helen Stewart has agreed to give a gallery talk at the Oriental Museum.
"It promises to be an exciting and informative experience for everyone who attends, whether they be interested in fashion, history or Japanese culture."
Normal museum admission prices apply -£1.50 for adults and 75p for concessions.
