teenagers have been proving their hearts are in the right place by raising £1,780 for vital medical work.
The 14-year-olds from Easingwold School staged a series of events to raise the cash for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Over six weeks, they held sponsored silences, cake baking sessions and car washes as part of their charity challenge.
Head of year nine Simon Neary said: "Virtually all of us have been affected by cancer in some way, which is why Yorkshire Cancer Research was such a popular choice for fundraising."
The money was presented to charity committee member Gill Jackson, who said: "I would like to congratulate the students on their outstanding achievement."
