BRITISH Airways has introduced more self check-in kiosks for travellers at Newcastle International Airport.
Following the success of the first three kiosks, three more have been added.
So far this month, more than 41 per cent of British Airways passengers departing from Newcastle have used the self-service check-in kiosks - more than anywhere else in the UK.
The kiosks allow passengers to check in for their flights in less than a minute.
Angela Cook, BA station manger at the airport, said: "The kiosks will put an end to tiresome queues and waiting time. In fact, we envisage that 100 per cent of our customers will eventually check in in this way.
"There has already been a significant decrease in the use of traditional check-in desks by 38 per cent."
