POLICE have issued a description of a man they are hunting after two teenagers were threatened with what is believed to be a machete.
The man, thought to be in his late teens, triggered a six-hour siege of a house after allegedly waving the blade in Denecrest, Medomsley, near Consett, County Durham.
The siege ended at 12.30am on Sunday, but the house was found to be empty.
The man is described as 5ft, slim, with short brown hair. He was wearing a white tracksuit top with red sleeves and blue bottoms. His clothes were described as scruffy.
