MORE than 200 Norwegian bikers riding Harley-Davidsons will bring roads to a standstill tomorrow.
A convoy of bikers from Bergen and Stavanger is expected to arrive at the ferry terminal in North Shields, North Tyneside, and will make their way south to York for the weekend's Viking Invasion Rally.
The southbound road through the Tyne Tunnel will be shut for 15 minutes at about 4.30pm while the motorcyclists are escorted through.
Tyne Tunnel manager Peter Hedley said: "We have been working alongside the organisers and police to make sure this spectacular convoy has a smooth journey through the tunnel.
"We have also made sure that regular users will face little disruption."
