A MAN has had his home vandalised for the third time in two months.
Christopher Shaw, 28, returned home from a party at about midnight on Friday to find the property in Rodney Street, Hartlepool, daubed in white paint and the downstairs window smashed.
It happened a week after his bedroom window was smashed and two months after he was burgled.
He said the street was marked for demolition and many young people wrongly believed all the houses were empty.
He said: "The street is bad, but it would be better if they made sure all the empty houses were boarded up.
"Because some of them aren't, people think all of the houses are empty and they target them."
Rodney Street is part of a demolition plan by New Deal for Communities and Hartlepool Revival to rejuvenate run-down areas of Hartlepool.
