Redcar and Cleveland Council is encouraging more people to get involved in planning the future of the borough.
The council is starting work on a development plan, the Local Development Framework, which will set out where housing, jobs, shops, health, tourist and leisure facilities will be developed in the future - as well as looking at ways of improving the borough's environment.
The council's cabinet member for strategic planning, development and infrastructure, Councillor Eric Empson, said: "We are now looking at how we can help people to tell us what they want in their local area. I hope people will be encouraged to have an involvement in planning the future of their community."
Following the six weeks consultation earlier this year, the council has considered comments on the draft statement and a revised document is now available for further comment, with a deadline of Friday, July 8.
Copies of the local development scheme and the draft statement, together with comment forms, are available from all the borough's branch libraries, the council's website link www.redcar-cleveland.gov.uk/planning and the council's three main offices at Belmont House, Rectory Lane, Guisborough, the Town Hall, Eston and Redcar and Cleveland House, Kirkleatham Street, Redcar.
