TALENTED pupils hit the right note when they performed at a music conference for educators in Teesside.
Students from Myton Park in Ingleby Barwick, Zetland primary in Redcar, and St Bede's RC primary in Marske put on a lunchtime concert on Friday as part of the Tees Valley Music Service (TVMS) A World of Music conference.
The seminar at The Oakwood Centre in Eaglescliffe brought together about 100 delegates from across the Tees Valley, including primary and secondary teachers, together with instrumental, vocal and curriculum staff from the TVMS.
After the concert, pupils from the three schools, which are each taking part in the Government's Wider Opportunities pilot project, then gave demonstration lessons for delegates.
Christine Cope, TVMS assistant manager, said: "It was an opportunity for delegates to hear pupils taking part in these projects perform and to see for themselves the enjoyment, confidence, concentration and very real sense of achievement making music together has given these young performers."
