A third person has died following a horrific crash on the outskirts of Consett, in County Durham, last week.
Margaret Murray, a 53-year-old care worker from nearby Castleside, died on Sunday afternoon in Newcastle General Hospital.
Her husband Michael, also 53, and taxi driver Michael Stewart were pronounced dead at the scene of the two-vehicle crash on the A692 on Sunday, May 22.
A third passenger in the taxi, a 55-year-old Consett man, remains critical in hospital. The 26-year-old driver of the other car involved, a Citroen Xantia, was released from hospital over the weekend after being treated for a head injury and is now recovering at his Consett home.
