A YOUNG author is donating all paid royalties from her first children's novel to the human rights organisation Amnesty International.
Melanie Hunter, age 22, has lived in County Durham since she was born. She has been writing since she was 14.
An Amnesty member for two years, Melanie is keen to support them further by making the decision to donate all of the royalties made by sales of her debut book, Dorsello's Key.
"The organisation is doing me a great favour; by my raising awareness of Amnesty International UK in this way, my writing is being noticed too. I'm achieving two positive goals, it's win, win," she says.
Dorsello's Key is on sale now. To learn more about the book and the author, please visit www.freewebs.com/dorsello
