SURGO Construction has announced the appointment of director JAMES WALKER to its board. The 27-year-old has been appointed as quantity surveying director.
Mr Walker has grown up with the construction industry, as his father is Surgo's managing director Ian Walker.
Ian Walker said of his son's appointment: "The company has gone through a complete metamorphosis over recent years which included a management buyout and more recently a name change. I am delighted that James will be joining me and the rest of the directors on the board. He is a very capable quantity surveyor with a good head for commercial matters.
"I am sure he will bring a new perspective to the business and, as the youngest member of the board, will also have fresh ideas to bring to the table."
James Walker will continue to oversee a team of eight quantity surveyors which he has been managing for a number of years as well as reporting on the financial position of projects and ensuring they are on budget.
