THE trial of a man charged with attempting to murder his girlfriend has been adjourned until next week.
Andrew Burn, 22, of Coniston Road, Skelton, East Cleveland, denies the attempted murder of 19-year-old Zoe Lonsdale on March 9 this year.
His trial at Teesside Crown Court was due to begin today, but because of difficulties with the availability of medical evidence it was adjourned until next Tuesday by the Recorder of Middlesbrough, Judge Peter Fox.
There was no application for bail from defence counsel and Mr Burn was remanded in custody in the meantime.
