A REVIEW has been launched into the way household waste is collected and recycled in Hambleton - and local people are being urged to get involved.
They are being invited to join a steering group - made up of councillors and key stakeholders - that will guide the review.
Anyone wanting to get involved is asked to contact co-ordinator Ian Jackson by next Friday.
Letters detailing why they should be included in the team should be sent to him, care of Anne Heimer, Hambleton District Council, Civic Centre, Stone Cross, North-allerton, DL6 2UU.
* The council is finalising the roll-out of wheelie bins for its 37,442 households. By the middle of this month, most residents will be receiving alternate weekly collections of their two bins. The green bin takes compostable waste and the black residual household waste.
