17 pupils to receive awards: SEVENTEEN children from primary schools in Redcar will this week receive certificates after completing four days of events aimed at raising their aspirations and preparing them for secondary school study.
It was organised by the University of Teesside's student volunteers and Redcar Community College's Primary University.

FLEA MARKET: The Saltburn Community and Arts Association will hold its next flea market and collectors' fair, to raise funds for the Saltburn Community and Arts Centre, at the Community Centre Hall, Saltburn, on Saturday, between 10am and 4pm. Admission is free.
STRAYS TOMBOLA: Members of the Saltburn Animal Rescue Association are holding a tombola stall each day this week in the Hill Street Centre, Middlesbrough, until Saturday.
