A SCHOOL football team has been kitted out with a strip worth £400.
St Joseph's Roman Catholic Primary School, in Stanley, received the Nike kits from the Football Foundation.
The foundation is the UK's largest sports charity and provides equipment to small teams across the country. So far, more than 8,000 kits have been issued to junior teams.
The school's PE co-ordinator, Martin Grogan, said: "The kit is a huge boost for our school and the team looks great.
"There is some way to go before we reach the Premiership, but we certainly look the part."
