ADVICE sessions are being held to explain how parents of disabled children can get all the benefits they are entitled to.
Darlington Citizens' Advice Bureau (CAB) is offering the help so families can deal with the complex financial issues.
The sessions are being held at Harewood House, off Grange Road, on Wednesdays, between 9.30am and 12.30pm. Home visits can also be arranged for Thursday mornings.
CAB outreach worker Rachel Wearmouth said: "We do not know how many parents in Darlington are caring for a child with a disability.
"We do know that many parents are not getting the money they are entitled to for help with caring for their children.
"Benefit forms can be long and complicated, but we can check your entitlement and can even help with filling in the forms."
