REGULAR police surgeries will be held for people in the Great Ayton and Stokesley areas.
The neighbourhood policing team has joined forces with the library and information centre at Great Ayton to launch the initiative.
Sessions will be held every month and the first will be from 2pm to 4pm on Tuesday, July 5, in the library.
Saturday sessions will also be held, with the first from 10.30am to 11.30am on July 30.
Sergeant Sarah Sanderson said: "This is a new joint initiative with North Yorkshire County Council whereby members of the public can speak to an officer away from the police station with any concerns they have or where crime prevention advice is needed.
"We are also in a position to offer advice in confidence in a quiet room if required, and I particularly wish to emphasise domestic violence which can go unreported. People do suffer alone, but we can and will help."
